HOW WE WORK WITH SCHOOLS

OVERVIEW
HOW WE WORK WITH SCHOOLS
ELDR Academy partners with schools to support young men who are disengaged, inconsistent, or struggling to meet expectations, not because they don’t care, but because expectations are unclear, fragmented, or not internalised.
Across schools, staff are managing increasing behavioural escalation, reduced focus, and widening gaps between what is expected and how students actually show up. ELDR addresses this gap by giving young men clear language, structure, and ownership frameworks that align directly with existing school systems.
We don’t introduce new rules.
We help students understand, accept, and take responsibility for the expectations already in place.
MY ROLE
A
Partner,
Not a Replacement
ELDR Academy works alongside schools as a long-term partner, not a one-off presenter, supporting sustainable change through consistency and shared expectations.
- Clarify expectations for students in language they understand
- Reinforce existing behaviour, wellbeing, and pastoral care frameworks
- Support staff authority by creating consistency across classrooms, year levels, and home
Sessions are active and discussion-based, designed to fit within school culture while equipping students with practical tools staff can reinforce in everyday interactions.
Schools typically observe stronger engagement, reduced behavioural escalation, and improved student–teacher communication as expectations become clearer and more consistent.

HOW ELDR SUPPORTS STAFF
ELDR Academy is designed to work alongside schools, not add to staff workload. Our programs reinforce what’s already in place and support consistency across learning and wellbeing.
Reinforces existing expectations
ELDR programs align with school values, behaviour frameworks, and pastoral care structures, reinforcing expectations already set by staff rather than introducing new systems.
Shared language and tools for students
Students are given clear, practical language and behavioural tools they can use across classrooms, wellbeing settings, and at home, reducing confusion and mixed messages.
Supports learning and wellbeing together
Programs bridge learning and wellbeing by helping students regulate emotions, communicate clearly, and take ownership of behaviour across settings.
ELDR Academy provides educational and mentoring support only and is not a substitute for psychological, medical, or clinical care. Read More

FAQs
Common questions about fit, delivery, and outcomes.
Is ELDR Academy a counselling service?
No. ELDR Academy is not counselling or therapy. Programs are educational and practical, focused on helping young men understand expectations, take ownership, and build confidence, responsibility, and communication skills. If students require clinical support, we recommend consulting appropriately qualified professionals alongside our programs.
How is this different from existing school wellbeing programs?
ELDR works alongside your existing frameworks rather than replacing them. We use shared language, practical tools, and structured sessions that reinforce your school’s values, behaviour frameworks, and pastoral care systems, creating consistency across classrooms and year levels.
Will this add extra work for staff?
No. ELDR is designed to reduce staff workload, not increase it. Our programs provide clear frameworks and tools that students can apply independently across classrooms, wellbeing settings, and at home. Staff can reinforce expectations without additional planning or systems.
Can this help students who are disengaged or resistant?
Yes. Our sessions are active, discussion-based, and designed for young men who may struggle with traditional teaching or disengage from standard wellbeing programs. Participation grows naturally as students understand expectations and see relevance in their own lives.
Won’t this take too much time away from learning?
No. ELDR programs are efficient, targeted, and structured to maximise engagement in the time available. By clarifying expectations and building self-management skills, students spend less time off-task, improving focus and learning outcomes overall.
Why are some programs boys-only?
The 9-week program and intensive workshops focus on boys because adolescent boys often disengage differently than girls, respond differently to expectations, and benefit from targeted frameworks around identity, responsibility, and purpose. Co-ed presentations or parent/community sessions remain available for mixed audiences. This ensures maximum impact without isolating or singling anyone out.
Is this a quick fix?
No. ELDR focuses on long-term growth, not temporary compliance. Programs are designed to embed responsibility, self-management, and clarity so that the impact continues across school, home, and life beyond the classroom.
How do I reset my password?
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book.
What about cost and funding?
ELDR programs are priced to reflect the high-impact, structured, evidence-based outcomes they deliver. Many schools fund these programs through existing wellbeing, pastoral care, or student engagement budgets. We also work with schools to explore cost-effective delivery options, including combining sessions, scaling workshops, or term-based programs. The focus is on return on impact, not just expenditure.
How involved do staff need to be?
Staff are supported rather than burdened. ELDR provides clear frameworks and tools that can be reinforced in everyday interactions without requiring additional planning or systems.
